Internet Marketing

Internet marketing is simply the term used to describe the marketing of products or services over the Internet. Internet marketing is also referred to as online marketing or e-marketing.

The Internet has brought a number of unique benefits to the marketing industry; these include the low cost of distributing information and media to a global audience, and the interactive nature of Internet media, both in terms of instant response, and in eliciting any response at all.

Internet marketing is the process of using online media to promote and grow an organization. It does not simply mean to build or promote a website; somewhere behind that website is a real organization with real marketing goals.

Internet marketing uses both the creative and technical aspects of the internet; these aspects include design, development, advertising and sales. Internet marketing makes use of methods such as search engine marketing, display advertising, e-mail marketing, affiliate marketing, interactive advertising, blog marketing, and viral marketing.

Internet marketing strategy includes all aspects of online advertising products, services, and websites, including market research, email marketing, and direct sales.
